Go as soon as it opens between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. Pandas are more active earlier in the morning during summer.

Eat and shop at Kuanzhai Alley and Jinli

Just take photos and check in. For meals, head to nearby Kuixinglou Street; for shopping, go to Chunxi Road or Taikoo Li.

Locals never eat at Kuan-Zhai Alley—it’s only a 5-minute walk to Kuixinglou Street, where food is both affordable and delicious.
