Shenzhen Civic Center Light ShowCivic Center Light Show
🏛️ What It Is
The Shenzhen Civic Center Light Show is one of China’s most spectacular urban light displays. Using Futian’s central axis as its canvas, 43 skyscrapers synchronize their lighting to create a breathtaking spectacle. Ping An Tower takes center stage, with the entire Futian CBD serving as the backdrop. Each show lasts about 15 minutes, with three performances every Friday, Saturday, and on public holidays. The summit of Lotus Hill offers the best vantage point—it’s free and requires no reservation.
✨ Why Visit
This is Shenzhen’s most breathtaking nighttime experience. With 43 buildings illuminated simultaneously, the entire CBD transforms into a giant screen right before your eyes—no photograph can truly capture the visual impact.
Tips for Visitors
The view from the top of Lianhua Hill is the most comprehensive
Lotus Hill Summit is located on Shenzhen’s central axis, offering the widest view of the light show. It’s free and requires no reservation. Be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.
Make a note of the show times
One show at 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, and 9:30 PM every Friday, Saturday, and on holidays; each show lasts 15 minutes. No shows Monday through Thursday!
Common Mistakes
❌ Go Monday through Thursday
I didn’t know the light show was only on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays.
Consequence: I waited for ages and nothing happened. Make sure to check before you go whether it’s a Friday, Saturday, or holiday.
