Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage was the Chengdu residence of the great Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu, where he lived for nearly four years and composed over 240 poems.Covering nearly 300 mu, the Grass Hall is a sacred site in the history of Chinese literature. The garden features emerald bamboo, red walls, and meandering streams, with structures such as the Grand Hall, the Hall of Poetry and History, the Ministry of Works Shrine, and the Grand Elegance Hall nestled within the lush landscape. The red-walled bamboo-lined path is one of Chengdu’s most photogenic spots.
