🏛️ Attraction Overview
The Terracotta Army is the “Eighth Wonder of the World” and consists of burial pits accompanying the Mausoleum of the First Emperor of Qin. It was discovered by chance in 1974 when farmers were digging a well. Currently, three pits have been excavated, containing a total of approximately 8,000 life-size terracotta warriors and horses. Each terracotta figure has a unique facial expression, hairstyle, and outfit.Pit No. 1 is the largest military formation—more than 6,000 soldiers arranged in battle formation, creating a breathtakingly grand spectacle.

This is one of the most awe-inspiring archaeological discoveries in human history. Standing at the railing in front of Pit No. 1 and looking down at the military formation of over 6,000 terracotta figurines, the sheer grandeur will give you goosebumps.
Practical Tips
Book 3–10 days in advance to secure the earliest entry time
Daily visitor capacity is limited to 50,000 people. Book through the official WeChat account. We recommend booking the first session at 8:30 a.m.
Shared official guided tour (20 yuan/person) offers the best value
Official tour guides cost about 100 yuan per group, while shared group tours cost about 20 yuan per person. Starting in 2025, AR glasses for guided tours will be available for 50 yuan per pair.
Visiting order: Pit 1 → Pit 3 → Pit 2
Pit No. 1 features the largest and most impressive military formation. Pit No. 3 is the command center. Pit No. 2 is the special forces area.
Common Mistakes
❌ Took an unlicensed tour guide
There are people at the park entrance hawking “cheap guided tours.”
Consequences: The tour guide’s information was inaccurate, and we were even taken shopping at the end. The official tour starts at the entrance to Pit No. 1.
